Bugs

We’re still deep in finding and fixing bugs within Usagi Sekai - Bunny Shaman. It’s a seemingly never-ending loop of fixed bugs that develop into new ones.

Even with the stress and limited time to fix these bugs, some of them can be very amusing. It’s the best part of playtesting, finding the humour in unexpected game features!

So far there have been enemies that have had their resolution squashed for no apparent reason, one of the mini-bosses just turns 180 and is facing away from the player, the cost of certain attacks sky rocketing into the thousands, the player dying does not reset the game, and some strange ones that just leave the level entirely, transporting us into the empty void.

It’s amazing how such a small game can amass so many strange little bugs. It is a surprisingly complex game for the overall size of it, and with my non-technical mind, I can’t figure out how or why these strange bugs exist. Thankfully I have a hugely talented Programmer on the case, who is making short work of the bugs and each week this little game gets better and better!

One of the cooler bugs that have since been fixed. After clicking a bit too frequently, some of the assets are duplicated and are black. Because… of course that would happen????
